
EGNOS Performance Tools Manager
Created in 2009, ESSP is a young and dynamic company, a pan European service provider, certified by EASA (the European Union Aviation Safety Agency) to deliver safety-critical services. Our mission is to operate and provide Communication, Navigation and Surveillance (CNS) services, among which, the main one is, the EGNOS service (the European Geostationary Navigation Overlay Service), on behalf of the EUSPA (the European Agency for Space).

We are looking for an EGNOS Performance Tools Manager who will ensure the steady and fluid operation of the Mission Performance department by means of checking the correct operation of Mission Performance tools, developing new software, defining new requirements and managing the development and acceptance of the tools. For these activities, we are looking for someone with:
- 5 years of experience in complex technical systems,
- 3 years of experience in the management, architecture, design, development or evolution of software,
- 1 year in a field relevant to EGNOS Performance.
Your main responsibilities/activities will be:
- Coordination of the team in charge of maintaining and evolving Mission Performance Tools,
- Maintain the performance tools, networks, connections and ensure that they can be operated,
- Management and control the obsolescence and guarantee of Mission Performance tools,
- Management of Observation Reports (ORs), local configuration management, control of changes and documentation management,
- Raise ORs for the anomalies found in Performance Tools and to participate actively in the Observation Report Board and the follow-up of the anomalies related to Service Provision,
- Maintain, develop scripts, software related to the exploitation of tools (e.g. automation of activities),
- Maintain and evolve the User Performance Continuous Monitoring (UPCM) Tool and similar software developed to provide real time information to users (internal and external users),
- Proposition of evolutions on tools and to manage the Service Provision Requirement Document for the part corresponding to Mission Performance activities,
- Be responsible of the acceptance of new or evolved performance tools and to participate actively during the corresponding industry qualification milestones,
- Support to the system and service Change Control Boards (CCB) and related taskforces in the aspects related to performance tools,
- Support the EGNOS System formal Reviews,
- Coordinate and supervise the installations and deployments related to performance tools.
Profile:
Leadership and team-building
- Experience in design and development of complex software related to GNSS performance analysis.
- Experience with software/system lifecycle, from requirements to maintenance.
- Knowledge of structured engineering environments, preferably in European space, aviation or safety-related contexts, including:
o system engineering lifecycle,
o ECSS-based processes,
o configuration and change control,
o interface management,
o V&V practices,
o product assurance,
o safety/criticality concepts
o cybersecurity constraints.
- Understanding of software development technologies, such as Python, MATLAB, C/C++, Visual Basic.Net and scripting.
- Knowledge of operational monitoring, data analysis and reporting tools.
- Basic cybersecurity awareness for operational tools and services.

- Very good level of English (B2 – C1) – CEFR
Job requirements:
Engineering degree or equivalent
Available for regular travels mainly in Europe
