
Maintenance and Evolutions Engineer - (F/M)
Created in 2009, ESSP is a young and dynamic company, a pan-European service provider, certified by EASA (the European Union Aviation Safety Agency) to deliver safety-critical services. Our mission is to operate and provide Communication, Navigation and Surveillance (CNS) services, among which the main one is the EGNOS service (the European Geostationary Navigation Overlay Service), on behalf of the EUSPA (the European Union Agency for the Space Programme).

We are looking for a Maintenance and Evolutions Engineer who will be in charge of contributing to the achievement of the Unit’s objectives by being in charge of specific activities such as replying to tenders, EGNOS system evolution monitoring, and transversal project management.
For these activities, we are looking for someone with at least 5 years’ experience in the space or aeronautical domain, with a very good level of English (minimum B2).
Your main responsibilities/activities will be:
- Participation in the drafting of technical proposals for our clients, in the EGNOS context, but also for other clients in the company's diversification process in the areas of Communication, Navigation and Surveillance (CNS). Within this scope, the following activities are expected to:
o Coordinate the technical proposal within the Unit and with the other ESSP Units.
o Prepare and attend key meetings for tender preparation.
o Consolidate cost estimations and review of the proposals.
o Support in the preparation of the statement of work for subcontracted activities.
o Support in technical meetings and negotiations with the customer.
- Follow-up of projects assigned to the Maintenance & Evolutions team :
o Set up the project team and organise the project kick-off.
o Project monitoring in terms of schedule, costs and quality.
o Technical reporting and monitoring of payment milestones.
o Organise steering committees.
o Possible direct technical contribution to some activities.
o In charge of the proper exécution of contracts, with the support of the Contract unit and management of the client interface.
o Follow-up of new EGNOS versions:
§ Collecting ESSP needs in terms of system evolutions.
§ Managing the interface with the GNSS Authority (EUSPA, the client) and partners.
§ Participation, if required, in the review of EGNOS System Releases under the project management of EUSPA.
- Contractual management of suppliers in support of the Maintenance and Evolution Manager:
o Monitoring contract execution;
o Regular performance evaluation;
o Preparation of change requests;
o Offer analysis and negotiation;
o Support in drafting amendments or new contracts.

- High level of English (B2-C1) - CEFR
Specific Skills:
- Experience of contribution to the production of responses to calls for tender
- Experience in project management (PMI/PMP certification or equivalent would be a plus)
- Experience in System Engineering (INCOSE/CSEP certification or equivalent would be a plus)
- Knowledge of GNSS and GNSS operations (EGNOS in particular) would be a plus.
