Created in 2009, ESSP is a young and dynamic company, a pan European service provider, certified by EASA (the European Union Aviation Safety Agency) to deliver safety-critical services. Our mission is to operate and provide Communication, Navigation and Surveillance (CNS) services, among which, the main one is, the EGNOS service (the European Geostationary Navigation Overlay Service), on behalf of the EUSPA (the European Agency for Space).

We are looking for a Security Operations Coordinator who will be responsible for security operation activities coordination in support of ESSP activities and services provided to ESSP clients. For these activities, we are looking for someone with at least 5 years’ experience in operational IT security or SOC operation or Cyber Crisis operations and experience of critical and/or complex technical systems in the space, aviation or industry sectors, with a very good level of English (minimum B2).

Your main responsibilities/activities will be:

Under the authority of the Chief Security Officer (CSO), the Security Operations Coordinator achieves the following activities:

As a Coordinator:
- Organize and oversee the daily activities of the Security Operations Center (SOC), ensuring effective monitoring, incident response, and operational continuity.
- Coordinate operational activities with the Security Engineering Team to align technical capabilities with SOC requirements.
- Identify and address training needs within the Security Operations Team to maintain a skilled and adaptable workforce.
- Ensure SOC compliance with applicable security frameworks, policies, and regulatory standards.
- Manage the delivery of internal and external reports, audits, and other security-related outputs.

As a Security Specialist:
- Lead the management of security incidents, from detection to resolution, including post-incident analysis and reporting.
- Oversee the detection and mitigation of security vulnerabilities, ensuring timely remediation and risk reduction.
-  Define, review, and update SOC procedures and operational security guidelines for ESSP and third-party stakeholders.
- Conduct forensic operations as part of incident management, including evidence collection and analysis.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of security tools and solutions to enhance SOC capabilities.

As a Member of the Security Team:
- Provide expert security support to other ESSP teams, including participation in audits, assessments, and projects.
- Contribute to security risk assessments, identifying and prioritizing risks to the organization.
- Assess changes within the IT environment to ensure security considerations are integrated and potential vulnerabilities are addressed.

As a security specialist, the Operations Coordinator contributes to the continuous improvement of enterprise security policies and practices and consequently he/she contributes to:

- Promoting good security practices to the personnel,
- Ensuring a security watch, both technological and regulatory,
- Improving enterprise processes and tools for security management,
- Developing new security services, notably in terms of operational security and cybersecurity,
- Designing, building, assessing and managing innovating technical projects for internal or external clients.

Specific Skills:
- Incident Response: Experience in managing and mitigating security incidents
- Vulnerability Management: Ability to detect, assess, and remediate vulnerabilities
- SOC Operations: Hands-on experience in Security Operations Center (SOC) environments
- Forensic Analysis: Knowledge of digital forensics and evidence handling
- Compliance Management: Familiarity with security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR)
- Security Tools: Proficiency in SIEM, EDR, SOAR, and other security technologies
- Procedure Development: Ability to create and review security policies and procedures
- Risk Assessment: Experience in identifying and evaluating security risks

The knowledge of the following domains would be considered an advantage:
- Cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Threat intelligence and hunting
- Secure software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Identity and Access Management (IAM)
- Network security and architecture
- Scripting and automation (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
- Cybersecurity certifications (CISSP, CISM, CEH, etc.)

Job Specifications:

-Available for punctual travels mainly in Europe
- Licence or Master degree or equivalent in cybersecurity or in IT
- Subject to on-call duty during weekends and bank holidays
