ESSP obtains ISO 27001: 2013 certification
ESSP successfully gained ISO 27001:2013 certification in July 2019. The award ceremony took place in the ESSP’s Toulouse premises on 11th October 2019. The ESSP’s CEO Mr. Thierry Racaud and, the AFNOR Occitanie representative Mr. Patrice Garcia were in attendance, amongst others.
Mr. Garcia highlighted that the achievement of this internationally recognized certification is the fruit of long and hard work. The ISO 27001 certification process comprises a set of 114 demanding security controls that have been successfully implemented both in ESSP Toulouse and Madrid. He congratulated ESSP for this great achievement, and stressed the strong support of top management in this project, which was key to its success. Indeed, ESSP has been certified with 33 Strong Points, 10 Areas of Concern, 12 Observations, 2 minor Non-Conformities and 0 major Non-Conformities.

Mr. Racaud warmly thanks the ESSP ISO27001 Project Leader, David Creton, the ESSP Chief Security Officer, Christophe Petit, and all the ESSP contributors for their involvement which contributed to this success. He indicated thatthis ISO 27001 certification is now a sound foundation for the company, in the delivery of its activities, and in its future development.
This new certification demonstrates the ESSP’s commitment to information security in the provision of safe and secure GNSS and CNS/ATM services. Cumulated with the ANSP certificate, enabling ESSP to provide Safety of Life services and with the ISO 9001 certificate for quality management, the ESSP strengthens its leadership position in terms of the provision of European satellite-based services.
