ESSP, a private company with 7 major European Air Navigation Service Providers as shareholders, manages the operation and supports the adoption of EGNOS, the European satellite based augmenting GPS: (and Galileo in a near future).

The adoption of this service in aeronautical market is rapidly growing given it allows correcting the GPS signal and offers enhanced features with accurate positioning and integrity within safety-of-life services making a key element in performance based navigation (PBN) scheme.

ESSP recruits an:
EDAS Service Expert - (F/M)
Responsible for the EDAS (EGNOS Data Access Service) services provision including the daily operation and maintenance and the evolution of the EDAS system and services.
The EDAS Service Expert is responsible for EDAS services management:
- Operation and maintenance of EDAS
- Evolution of the EDAS system and services
- Maintenance of EDAS operational baseline
- Management and supervision of EDAS subcontractors
- EDAS system and services performance monitoring and reporting
- EDAS service engineering:
o Supporting to the Second Level maintenance
o Management and analysis of non-conformities.
o Contribution to the EDAS service evolution plan managed by the GSA
- Monitor the implementation status of EDAS based services and applications
- Support to promotion activities related to the EDAS service
- Support to EDAS-related questions arrived to the EGNOS Helpdesk
Provision of inputs to the corresponding EDAS-related baseline documentation (e.g. EDAS Service Definition Document, EDAS Service Implementation Roadmap, Monthly Performance Reports…).
Similarly for Service Data Access Facility (EDAS v3) and other data services that may be provided by ESSP in the future.
Design, development, maintenance and evolution of the required software tools to support the abovementioned activities (e.g. services monitoring and troubleshooting, adoption activities) as needed.

High level of English (B1-B2) – CECRL
Knowledge of GNSS data streaming (formats/protocols) services/applications and experience
in customer interfaces
A sound knowledge in services operation and maintenance including system engineering
Experience in software development activities and methodologies
Experience with real-time Linux systems
Deep knowledge of the EGNOS Services and in particular EDAS
Good knowledge of Differential GNSS/RTK (Real Time Kinematic) services and positioning techniques
Available for regular travels, especially in Europe.
Experience of at least 7 years in space or aeronautical domains and at least 4 years in data services and
Engineering degree or equivalent.
Experience in projects in an international context (European).
