International Legal Officer – F/M


ESSP, a private company with 7 major European Air Navigation Service Providers as shareholders, manages the operation and supports the adoption of the European Satellite Based Augmentation System to GPS: EGNOS.

The adoption of this service is rapidly growing given it allows correcting the GPS signal and offers enhanced features with accurate positioning and integrity within safety-of-life services context such as public transportation.

We are looking for an International Legal Officer responsible for supporting the implementation, negotiations and contractual management of international agreements in compliance with our company's standards - which you help to improve. If you are rigorous with a high level of English and proficiency in contract law, international business law with minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position, then is position is for you!

Main responsibilities/activities:

- Undertaking complex/critical legal analyses independently and carrying out the action plans;

- Directing the purchasing cycle in support of operational staff (including Spain) in compliance with internal purchasing/export control rules. Helping to improve the purchasing process;

- Analysing, providing recommendations and taking responsibility for the preparation, drafting and negotiating of international agreements (Non-Disclosure Agreements, Memoranda of Understanding, Memoranda of Cooperation, Letters of Intent, consortium agreements, service contracts, etc.) for purchases, sales and collaborative projects (including bids);

- Advising/training internal clients to ensure compliance with contractual and legal obligations;

- Taking part in risk/opportunity reviews on a regular basis.;

- Managing tools/processes/policies/standard documents pertaining to legal matters, and contributing to developing them;

- Maintaining a regulatory watch on issues relating to Company Law, Contract Law, Export Control, Intellectual Property Law, Insurance and Public Law; proposing/executing compliance actions;

- Providing internal advice as the company's contact person on issues of legal compliance relating to the company's commitments (GDPR/Export Control) and managing the Insurance records or Intellectual Property;

- Ensuring regular communication with members the team;

- Taking responsibility for any tasks needed to ensure the smooth running of the department.

Profile:

- Interest in technology, curiosity
- Rigour, determination, genuine autonomy
- Writing skills
- Good level of Spanish would be a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Company and Contrat Law (Advanced)

Job Requirements:

Language: English (C1) – CEFR

Punctual travels

Bac + 5 (Master II, master’s degree) in International Business Law

Between 3 and 5 years of experience in a similar position

Human Resources information:
- 1st interview is held by the direct manager of the position you applied for (technical interview)
- 2nd interview is held by HR department
