IT Infrastructure Engineer - F/M
Created in 2009, ESSP is a young and dynamic company, a pan European service provider, certified by EASA (the European Union Aviation Safety Agency) to deliver safety-critical services. Our mission is to operate and provide Communication, Navigation and Surveillance (CNS) services, among which, the main one is, the EGNOS service (the European Geostationary Navigation Overlay Service), on behalf of the EUSPA (the European Agency for Space).

We are looking for a/an IT Infrastructure Engineer who will be in charge of installing, configuring, maintaining (corrective and evolutionary) and upgrading ESSP's IT resources (software, hardware, networks). You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of operations, problem resolution and compliance with security standards. In order to meet business requirements formulated by the stakeholders involved, you will contribute to the definition, implementation and management of ESSP's internal IT projects. For these activities, we are looking for someone with at least 3 years’ experience in Linux (+) and Windows in VMWare environment administration, with a very good level of English (minimum B2).
Your main responsibilities/activities will be:
System administration:
- Initial installation and upgrades of IT equipment (including servers, network equipment, operating systems, security policy),
- Support for the production and commissioning of applications hosted by the Information System,
- Operation and administration of the Information System and hosted applications (in particular backups, monitoring and reporting) in accordance with the policy defined by the Operations & IT Services Manager,
- Keeping operating documentation, IT knowledge base, wiki up to date,
- Diagnosis and resolution of incidents (users, Information System and applications) as 2nd/3rd level support.
IT systems change management:
- Coordinate change management, evolutionary, preventive and corrective maintenance of IT equipment and applications that are within the unit's perimeter, in compliance with quality and configuration management processes,
- Ensure the continuity of knowledge on maintenance solutions (documentation, Knowledge Base).

Specific Skills:
- Very good knowledge of the administration of the following environments: VMWare 7/8, Windows Server, Windows 10/11, Nutanix, Linux, Docker, kubernetes.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (Bash, Shell, Powershell, etc.),
- Knowledge of storage and backup technologies
- Knowledge of infrastructure services and protocols: DNS, SMTP, LDAP, NTP, DHCP, etc,
- Good knowledge of the following products and tools: Active Directory, MS Exchange, Veeam, Centreon, GLPI, Ansible,
- Good knowledge of LAN/WLAN network protocols and architectures (configuration of Ethernet switches, wifi controllers, etc.),
- Good knowledge of network/application filtering systems (configuration of security rules, etc.),
- Good knowledge of information system management best practices (ITIL framework)
Job Requirements:
Engineering degree or equivalent
Experience of at least 3 years in Linux (+) and Windows in VMWare environment administration
Experience in IT project management assistance and in the implementation and monitoring of ITIL processes
Available for punctual travels mainly in Europe
