ESSP, a private company with 7 major European Air Navigation Service Providers as shareholders, manages the operation and supports the adoption of the European Satellite Based Augmentation System to GPS: EGNOS.

The adoption of this service is rapidly growing given it allows correcting the GPS signal and offers enhanced features with accurate positioning and integrity within safety-of-life services context such as public transportation.

By joining us, as part of ESSP’s Management Team, you will ensure that the company has the necessary and sufficient levers to ensure its continuity, particularly in terms of: safety, security, certification and crisis management. You will guarantee compliance with the various standards and regulation applicable to the company, the maintenance of the Management System and the effective management of services and projects. If you have 10 years’ of experience in an equivalent position (Quality oriented) and an experience in contingencies, quality and projects/services management preferably in operational environment as air traffic control or nuclear plants, then this position is for you!
Main responsibilities/activities:
- Contribution to the definition and implementation of the corporate strategy, advising the President on the orientations to be taken in terms of certification and accreditation policy;
- Ensure compliance with customer requirements and regulatory and normative requirements;
- Maintenance and implementation of the company's process management system and make the link with external parties and subcontractors on this subject;
- Define and implement of ESSP's quality assurance policy, in accordance with the ISO standard (9001) and the maintenance of the associated certificates;
- Ensure with the main support of the Chief Security Officer (CSO) the security of the information system and the physical security of ESSP, in particular within the framework of the ISMS and the associated certification (ISO 27001), for which you will be responsible for;
- Define and implement the security policy of the ESSP's services, in accordance with the regulations and ensure that the President is informed of the orientations to be taken in matter of safety;
- The certification of the company and the services operated in relation to the applicable regulations; ensure the interface with the surveillance authorities concerned;
- The accreditation of the company and the services operated in relation to the applicable regulations; ensure the interface with the supervisory authorities concerned;
- The definition/implementation/monitoring of:
o the company's audit policy;
o the company's risk management policy;
o Project Conytol policy
o Documentation management policy
- Set-up, implement, maintain and test business continuity plans, emergency plans or contingency plans in conjunction with the crisis manager;
- The compliance of the Company's operations with all its legal obligations in the field of applicable export control regulations and GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), and ensure that the President is informed about the associated risks;
- The management of the unit's staff and subcontracting contracts (around 30 people)
Profile:
- Quality standards (ISO 9001), business continuity management
- Air Traffic Management and EASA regulations would be an asset
- Experience in managing large projects and/or critical services
- Experience in deploying transformation projects
- GDPR and export control regulations
- Navigation (EGNOS), satellite communication and surveillance, is a plus
- Manage and organize multidisciplinary teams
- Support team leaders in their managerial practices
- Ability to manage a plurality of stakeholders
- Strong autonomy and strong leadership
- Assume responsibilities and make decisions in complex contexts with a certain level of risk taking

Job specifications:

Engineering degree or equivalent
