Risk and Contingency Engineer – F/M

ESSP, a private company with 7 major European Air Navigation Service Providers as shareholders, manages the operation and supports the adoption of the European Satellite Based Augmentation System to GPS: EGNOS.

The adoption of this service is rapidly growing given it allows correcting the GPS signal and offers enhanced features with accurate positioning and integrity within safety-of-life services context such as public transportation.

By joining us, you will be in charge of ensuring the continuity of ESSP's activity, maintaining and overseing the implementation of risk management and contingency management processes, contributing to the analysis and regular review of the company's risks and opportunities. If you have at least 5 years of experience in risks management and business continuity with a good level of English, then this position is for you!

Main responsibilities/activities:

Maintaining and implementing the risks, opportunities and actions management process:

- Manage/contribute to the analysis and regular reviews of the company risks and opportunities;
- Maintain the risks, opportunities and actions management process and its adaptation to each level (company, project, service) ;
- Deploy and support the implementation of the process at all levels ;
- Organize and manage quarterly risks awareness sessions;
- Monitor the compliance with the rules of the risk process and interact with risk owners ;
- Monthly/ yearly reports on risk management and actions for the management and customers ;
- in charge of maintaining actions and risks management tool and the management of access rights, in coordination with the IT department.

Maintaining and implementing the business continuity and contingency management process:

- Maintain crisis and contingency management process in relation with the Crisis Manager ;
- Ensure regular update of the business continuity plan, contingency plans and their level of pragmatism and "readiness", in coordination with the contingency owners;
- Maintain the contingency test plan over 5 years;
- Organize contingency tests and associated training plans;
- Improve business continuity by taking into account contingency test results.

Support for security risk analyses related to projects and services:

This requires a strong collaboration with different teams in ESSP for the risk monitoring on projects and service; and for the business risk analyses to analysis the level of risk management and the potential interactions between risks.


Profile researched:

- High level of English (B2-C1) – CEFR
- Autonomous and in compliance with instructions
- Great capacity for analysis and synthesis
- Knows how to network and strong team spirit
- Communication skills (and adaptability to the audience)
- Ability to make propositions with structured approach
- Ability to support change
- Rigor and flexibility
- Work in transparency

Technical expertise:

- Risk management (ISO27005 RM, EBIOS RM certification)
- Strong experience in business continuity management (ISO22301 certification would be a plus)
- Knowledge of ISO9001 and ISO27001
- Work experience in an international (European) environment
- Experience working in operational environments would be a plus
- Communication/Navigation/Satellite Surveillance sector would be a plus
- Skills in Corporate Social Responsibility would be a plus

Job specifications:

Available for punctual travels mainly in Europe.

Master degree or equivalent.
