We are looking for a Software Configuration & Operations Engineer needed to maintain EGNOS System operational. If you have a 1st professional experience or specific training in software configuration with a good level of English (B2 minimum) and you are willing to work in a multicultural environment, then this position is for you!

Main responsibilities:

Configuration Management:

- Definition, implementation and monitoring of the strategy of operational software configuration management of the entire EGNOS system and writing the associated Configuration Management Process;

- Performing all the recurring tasks for managing the software configuration:

o Collect and expression of needs,
o Monitoring of the production of new configurations,
o Reception, controles, and post-processing,
o Provision to operators,
o Long-term storage.

- Technical management of software configuration production services;

- Weekly processing of the configuration hot parameters of the EGNOS system.

Operational system operations management:

- Planning of preventive maintenance operations;

- Validation of the EGNOS weekly Operations schedule;

- Coordination of maintenance activities and monitor its execution;

- Participation in the internal operations monitoring board;

- Direct participation in supervision and control operations;

Platform test management:

Ensure the specific management of the EGNOS-TEST platform:

- Planning management of the use of the platform and the resolution of conflicts;
- Management of the necessary maintenance operations;
- Coordination with the manufacturer on the EGNOS-TEST platform.

Contribution to projects and support to business development:

- Direct participation or support on topics requiring software configuration management or operations management expertise;
- Participation in the preparation of the team for the major evolution of the system to V3 (handling of new tools, implementation of new rules and methods, management of transition).

- Good knowledge of operations and maintenance of complex systems

Job Requirements:

- Available for punctual trips mainly in Europe

- Subject to minimum presence constraints during the usual holiday periods (July/August, Christmas, February, Easter) and may occasionally be required to be on call (weekend and/or night) according to ESSP scheme in force.

Engineering degree or equivalent

Experience in the field of complex infrastructures operations, or projects in an international (European) context would be a plus.
