Website Development Engineer (M/F)


The Website Development Engineer will be responsible for the EGNOS User Support Website management and administration.

Website Development Engineer’s main responsibilities

EGNOS User Support Website activities: 

- Website administration 

- Website contents and structure maintenance 

- Website structure evolution 

- Website hosting services management and interface with subcontractors 

- Website documentation and procedures generation and maintenance

- Interface and coordination with:

o the Mission Performance Team for EGNOS performance related figures and visualizations;

o the Customer and Data Services Team for the information related to EGNOS NOTAM proposals and EDAS in the website;

o the Service Adoption team for the information and tools related to the EGNOS uses in different market segments;

o other Service Provision Unit departments for other subjects;

o the customer for coordination of website technical activities 

To support the specification, development, validation and maintenance of user-oriented applications to offer innovative ways of presenting user-related information, potentially including but not limited: 

- APPs for smartphones and tablets to support the user promotion and dissemination activities related to EGNOS. Including publication in Markets 

- EGNOS demonstrators to be used in the frame of the EGNOS promotion activities 

- Advance visualization (GIS/Mapping, 3D figures…) of existing information in web/mobile environments 

- Web-based and advanced applications / visualizations 

To support other development / administration activities required for the different tools used within the Service Adoption and Support department, as examples: 

- Helpdesk Ticketing management Tool

- Contacts database management tool 

Profile

Generic Skills:

- Good Communication skills 

- Strong autonomy and initiative

- Able to synthesize

- Team player spirit

- Good level of English (B1-B2)

– CEFR- Spanish (desirable). 

Specific Skills:

- Experience in user interfaces

- Experience in website development, administration and maintenance

- Experience in the following technologies / COTS / programming languages:

o DRUPAL 7, administration and development

o PHP

o Apache 2.x,

o HTML5 , CSS3, Javascript (Chart.js, jQuery,... )

o Angular 1.x (Ionic, Cordova, Phonegap)

o REST API

o GIT

o Bootstrap

o Linux, Shell Script.

o Web Security

o MySQL

o MS Office

o GIS, mapping solutions 

- User and customer oriented

- Knowledge of EGNOS and GNSS services and applications is an asset 

Job features:

Minimum of at least 3 years of experience in software development and 2 years of experience in website development, administration and maintenance 

Experience of at least 1 year in the satellite navigation domain or relevant application market segment desirable 

Engineering degree or equivalent 

Permanent Employment Contract/ Full time
