ESSP (European Satellite Services Provider), a private company with 7 major European Air Navigation Service Providers as shareholders, manages the operations and delivers the services of EGNOS, the European Satellite Based Augmentation System to GPS. The adoption of this service is rapidly growing given it allows correcting the GPS signal and offers enhanced features with accurate positioning and integrity within Safety-of-Life services context such as public transportation.
Galileo Ground Mission Segment and GNSS Service Centre
By year end, ESSP may provide the Galileo Ground Mission Segment services in Italy, operate the GNSS Service Centre (GSC) and provide support and services to the Galileo users from Madrid, in liaison with Airbus Defence and Space, in the frame of the Galileo Service Operator (GSOp) contract by the GSA (the European Global Navigation Satellite Systems Agency).
In this context, ESSP is identifying potential candidates for its future activities as of December 2016 in three locations:
Fucino (Italy)at the Galileo Control Centre.

The GSC will act as the single interface to the Galileo OS and CS users, for the activities related to:
