ESSP brand new certification with EASA released today

ESSP (European Satellite Services Provider) just received today the certification as Iris Service Provider (ISP) from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).

ESSP will be the service provider for this innovative air traffic management program called Iris, whose mission is to optimize airspace by relieving congestion, adapt to future ATM growth, and reduce delays, fuel consumption, and emissions. This Pan-European certification will also enable EU ANSPs to easily integrate this complementary datalink service.

ESSP is the only company with a pan-European certification by EASA in two different technological satellite-based systems, one in navigation and one in communications to provide operations and services to the ATM at global level.

The Iris service delivers high-bandwidth, cost-effective satellite-based datalink communications for global ATM modernization.

Now that the certificate has been granted to ESSP, the continuous oversight process by EASA begins. ESSP will periodically be required to demonstrate that it meets applicable requirements of EU regulations.

The EASA certification speaks volumes to the high quality of the ESSP service and creates a backing of trust for those relying on this data for their services. We are looking forward to our long-lasting relationship with EASA to support their goal for safer and more efficient skies.

The ISP (Iris Service Provider) certification achieved by ESSP represents a further step for this pan-European company to become one of the leading CNS service providers.

This is just the beginning. Stay tuned to learn more about this new Pan-European satellite-based communication service.
