Successful participation of ESSP at World ATM Congress
The Presentation on Tuesday afternoon provided an overview of EGNOS implementation status in Europe, as well as on-going actions facilitating the use of EGNOS in aviation. An important subject was also the different funding opportunities available, introduced by the GSA.
Afterwards, an EGNOS Award Ceremony took place at the EGNOS stand. This Ceremony is tailored to congratulate those ANSP that have recently signed an EGNOS Working Agreement (EWA) with ESSP, or that have recently published an LPV procedure within their respective airports. This year, in particular, we also awarded those ANSP publishing LPV-200 procedures.
Thierry Racaud, ESSP CEO, and Carmen Aguilera, GSA Market officer, were in charge of calling the nominees and delivering the diplomas and awards to the following Air Navigation Services Providers:
- EWA diplomas: NAVIAIR, BRIGHTON CITY AIRPORT LTD and MALTA AIR TRAFFIC SERVICES
- First LPV publication: NAVIAIR, ROMATSA and LEONARDO HELICOPTERS UK
- First LPV-200 publication: AVINOR AS, AUSTROCONTROL and LPS SR
