ESSP and ENAC partner to promote Satellite Navigation
On the 18th of February 2021, ENAC, the French Civil Aviation University, acknowledged as one of the major training organizations in the aeronautics and air transport field in Europe, and ESSP, European Satellite Service Provider, the European SBAS operator and service provider (EGNOS), consolidated their cooperation by signing a partnership agreement with the objective to make the promotion of European Global Navigation Satellite System (EGNSS) in general, and EGNOS in particular.
ESSP and ENAC will disseminate their EGNSS know-how facilitating student information, visits, courses, internship, and employment. This agreement focuses first on initial education and will address professional trainings in a short term.
This partnership will enable to provide trainees with a complete and unique satellite navigation experience, from R&D and the state of the art, to the implementation, operation and service provision.
“It is a great honor for ESSP to seal a partnership with such a renowned university as ENAC. EGNOS and satellite augmentation systems in general have clearly demonstrated their benefits for airspace users, and it is important that aviation students take full ownership of this technology to better deploy it worldwide. As ESSP and ENAC share the same objectives of safety and excellence, our two organizations are able to offer high-level technical training to deal with both the theoretical and operational specificities of SBAS.” Thierry Racaud, CEO, ESSP.
« It is with enthousiasm that ENAC celebrate the signature of an innovative and fruitfull partnership with the European Satellite Service Provider (ESSP), a state of the art company in charge of providing SBAS Signal in Europe. We are gathering ours strengths to propose full-fledged solutions, improving safety and excellence in air transport field. Furthermore, ENAC will be very glad to assist ESSP to promote and disseminate European technologies abroad”, said Nicolas CAZALIS, ENAC Deputy General Director.
