
ANA Luxembourg receives an EGNOS award during the EGNOS Annual Workshop
November 20, 2019The European Satellite Services Provider (ESSP) and the European Global Navigation Satellite Systems Agency (GSA) organized another edition of the the EGNOS Annual Workshop. This year's event took place in Rome on the 24th and 25th of September.

ESSP obtains ISO 27001: 2013 certification
October 14, 2019ESSP successfully gained ISO 27001:2013 certification in July 2019. The award ceremony took place in the ESSP’s Toulouse premises on 11th October 2019. The ESSP’s CEO Mr. Thierry Racaud and, the AFNOR Occitanie representative Mr. Patrice Garcia were in attendance, amongst others.

EUTELSAT 5 West B successfully launched with EGNOS payload
October 10, 2019The EUTELSAT 5 West B satellite was successfully launched on a Proton M/Breeze M launch vehicle from Pad 39 at Baikonur Cosmodrome, Kazakhstan, at 12.17 CET on Wednesday 9 October. Hosting the GEO-3 payload of the European Geostationary Navigation Overlay System (EGNOS), the satellite will support EGNOS V3 - the next generation of the EGNOS programme.

ESSP and Norsk Luftambulanse AS (NLA) have signed an EGNOS Working Agreement
October 03, 2019ESSP, as EGNOS Service Provider, and Norsk Luftambulanse AS, a rotorcraft operator specialized in HEMS (Helicopter Emergency Medical Services) have recently signed an EGNOS Working Agreement (EWA), as a key step for the implementation of EGNOS-based approach procedures to hospitals in Norway. This agreement is the first one with an organization which is not an Air Navigation Service Provider, and has been defined in full cooperation with both the operator and the Norwegian Civil Aviation Authority.

EGNOS Annual Workshop Turned 9: Welcoming new users, more interaction and outstanding examples
September 27, 2019The EGNOS ANNUAL WORKSHOP 2019 celebrated at the ASI (Italian Space Agency) in Rome this year, gathered entrepreneurs and SMEs, along with business and public sector professionals from industry to share remarkable EGNOS implementation examples in every domain (Aviation, Rail, Maritime, Survey, Mapping, Agriculture) and how European Satellite Navigation programs are tackling the highly speed growth of the market penetration as well as the maturity and stability offered by the EGNOS services to European users.
With nearly 200 attendees coming from 38 different countries, this one of a kind event organised by GSA and ESSP proved its strong interest for EGNOS.

The pioneers of ESSP SAS commemorated the company's 10th anniversary in its Toulouse office
July 03, 2019ESSP (European Satellite Services Provider) started its operations as a French SAS (société par actions simplifiée – joint stock company) in April 2009, with its first EGNOS contract for the European Commission. With this new contract, the company decided to move from Brussels to Toulouse and Madrid.
