On May 23-24, 2019, ESSP colleagues met in Toulouse headquarters, to celebrate the company’s 10th anniversary since it started delivering the first EGNOS Service Provision contract with the European Commission in April 2009.

The 7 Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs) of France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom in their role of ESSP-SAS (European Satellite Service Provider) founders came together to sign a joint letter, which outlines their commitment to continuing their support to EGNOS, a program from the European Union managed by the European GNSS Agency (GSA).

After 2 years of work, and an investment of approximately € 70 million, the new innovation temple dedicated to Aeronautics and Space research was inaugurated on Monday, June 25th in Toulouse, with the attendance of more than 700 guests, including the family of the famous writer Antoine de Saint-Exupéry and other local personalities.

ESSP has recently signed a framework Contract with KARI (Republic of Korea Aerospace Research Institute) to support them on the set-up of the future Korean Service Provider for KASS, the Korea Augmentation Satellite System similar to the European EGNOS.

The signature was sealed last October 25th at the Toulouse Cité de l’Espace, between ESSP CEO Thierry Racaud and KARI Executive Director of SBAS, Dr. Gi Wook Nam. The beautiful ceremony was followed by several members of the Toulouse Aerospace community and of course Satellite Navigation stakeholders.
