EGNOS has reached an impressive milestone with 1,000 approach procedures now utilising its Satellite-Based Augmentation System (SBAS). This achievement highlights EGNOS's vital role in transforming aviation safety, accessibility, and sustainability across Europe.

Although the outbreak of the Global Health crisis has slowed down or halted projects in all sectors, the process of signing EGNOS Working Agreements in many European airports has continued as planned. In the last five months, 4 new European organizations have settled EGNOS Working Agreements (EWAs) as a first step towards implementing EGNOS-based operations in the near future.

The 7 Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs) of France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom in their role of ESSP-SAS (European Satellite Service Provider) founders came together to sign a joint letter, which outlines their commitment to continuing their support to EGNOS, a program from the European Union managed by the European GNSS Agency (GSA).

EGNOS is reaching the impressive 70 EGNOS WORKING AGREEMENTS established with Air Navigation Service Providers

The race will take place in Cascais from October 11th to October 15th, where sailors will rely on EGNOS accuracy for their navigation needs, mainly at the start line.

Operated by Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS), launch customer of the Bombardier CS100, the world’s CS100 maiden flight, took place last Friday 15^th July. The approach to Paris Charles de Gaulle was performed using an EGNOS based LPV-200 procedure.
