ESSP et NLA avaient candidaté pour la "fourniture du service EGNOS pour les exploitants d’hélicoptères dans l'espace aérien de classe G", mettant ainsi en valeur leur contribution à une gestion sécurisée et efficiente de l'espace aérien.

ESSP (European Satellite Service Provider), in a joint nomination with NLA (Norsk Luftambulanse As), have been awarded the 2020 ATM Award in the “Service Provision” category with a case named “EGNOS service provision scheme for rotorcraft operators in class G Airspace”, recognising contributions to safe, cost-effective and efficient airspace management.

ESSP, as EGNOS SERVICE PROVIDER, and the Oslo Police District of the Norwegian National Police Air Support Unit, have recently signed an EGNOS Working Agreement (EWA), as a key step for the implementation of EGNOS-based approach procedures in Norway. This agreement is the second one with an organization which is not an Air Navigation Service Provider, and has been defined in full cooperation with both the operator and the Norwegian Civil Aviation Authority.

The agreement will enable the publication of EGNOS-based approach procedures in the main Slovenian airports currently being acted by SLOVENIA CONTROL: LJUBLJANA / BRNIK (LJLJ), MARIBOR / OREHOVA VAS (LJMB), PORTOROZ / SECOVLJE (LJPZ) and CERKLJE / CERKLJE OB KRKI (LJCE)

In the context of the extremely fast evolution of the Covid-19 epidemic, the health of ESSP personnel is of primary concern. Concurrently, ESSP must join in the European effort to slow down the development of the epidemic.

South Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI) and ESSP (European Satellite Service Provider) again sealed their collaboration by signing a new contract for the second phase of preparation of KASS (Korea Augmentation Satellite System).

ESSP successfully gained ISO 27001:2013 certification in July 2019. The award ceremony took place in the ESSP’s Toulouse premises on 11th October 2019.  The ESSP’s CEO Mr. Thierry Racaud and, the AFNOR Occitanie representative Mr. Patrice Garcia were in attendance, amongst others.

ESSP (European Satellite Services Provider) started its operations as a French SAS (société par actions simplifiée – joint stock company) in April 2009, with its first EGNOS contract for the European Commission. With this new contract, the company decided to move from Brussels to Toulouse and Madrid.
