The European Geostationary Navigation Overlay Service (EGNOS) Safety of Life (SoL) Service is celebrating its 10th Anniversary. Since it was declared operational in March 2011, the EGNOS SoL Service has been supporting civil aviation operations down to LPV (Localiser Performance with Vertical guidance) minima at airports across Europe.

On the 18th of February 2021, ENAC, the French Civil Aviation University, acknowledged as one of the major training organizations in the aeronautics and air transport field in Europe, and ESSP, European Satellite Service Provider, the European SBAS operator and service provider (EGNOS), consolidated their cooperation by signing a partnership agreement with the objective to make the promotion of European Global Navigation Satellite System (EGNSS) in general, and EGNOS in particular

La empresa ESSP (European Satellite Service Provider), en una nominación conjunta con la sociedad NLA (Norsk Luftambulanse As), ha sido galardonada con el Premio “ATM Awards 2020” en la categoría "Provisión de Servicio",  por el desarrollo del caso "Esquema de prestación de servicios EGNOS para operadores de helicópteros en clase G Airspace”, en el que se reconocen las contribuciones a una gestión segura, rentable y eficiente del espacio aéreo.

ESSP et NLA avaient candidaté pour la "fourniture du service EGNOS pour les exploitants d’hélicoptères dans l'espace aérien de classe G", mettant ainsi en valeur leur contribution à une gestion sécurisée et efficiente de l'espace aérien.

ESSP (European Satellite Service Provider), in a joint nomination with NLA (Norsk Luftambulanse As), have been awarded the 2020 ATM Award in the “Service Provision” category with a case named “EGNOS service provision scheme for rotorcraft operators in class G Airspace”, recognising contributions to safe, cost-effective and efficient airspace management.

Before the end of the year, there is one more opportunity to learn, exchange and network with EU Space leaders and innovators: we are pleased to announce the EGNOS SERVICE STATUS SESSION 2020, the annual meeting for EGNOS stakeholders, decision-makers, industry and users, as well as application developers. This year, the EGNOS meeting has become virtual, and its online edition is scheduled for December 8 from 14.00 to 15.30 within the EUROPEAN SPACE WEEK.

The 3rd edition of the User Consultation Platform (UCP) will be held on 1-2 December 2020 as part of the preparatory phase of the 2020 European Space Week.
